Exobiosphere Secures €1 Million Grant from Luxembourg’s JEI
Non-dilutive funding from the Ministry of the Economy will support the space biotech company’s operations, business development, marketing, and scale-up.
LUXEMBOURG — Exobiosphere, the space biotechnology company advancing drug discovery and biomedical research in microgravity, has secured €1 million in non-dilutive funding through Luxembourg's Jeune Entreprise Innovante (JEI) aid, administered by the Ministry of the Economy.
The funding will accelerate the company's commercial expansion, strengthen operations, grow its international business development and marketing activities, while supporting the scale-up of Exobiosphere's proprietary orbital high-throughput screening platform. The aid for young innovative enterprise was conditional to an innovation certificate by Luxinnovation.
The JEIaid supports young, research-intensive companies with strong growth potential by providing non-dilutive funding alongside private investment. Designed to help innovative businesses transition into their next phase of growth, the aid enables companies to accelerate development, strengthen commercial activities and expand internationally.

Jeune Entreprise Innovante is a financial aid scheme administered by Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy for young, R&D-intensive companies. It co-finances up to 70% of a company’s estimated financing requirement over a maximum of three years, up to a cap of €1 million, and requires applicants to hold a certificate from Luxinnovation confirming their status as an innovative enterprise. The aid is designed to help companies that have recently raised private capital move into a growth phase by accelerating product development, scaling marketing and sales, and expanding into international markets.
