I would just propose to have shorter role description: Exobiosphere is hiring a detail-driven, execution-focused BD & Operations Manager to support our growth across the U.S., EU, and global programs. You’ll work across grant writing, deck creation, and partner follow-up, helping turn scientific and strategic goals into clear, fundable deliverables.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes, writes clearly, and loves driving clarity across teams at the frontier of biotech and space.
Responsibilities
Global Proposal & Grant Development
Lead or support development of competitive proposals to U.S., EU, and international agencies (e.g., NSF, NASA, NIH, DoD, ESA, LSA, EIC)
Coordinate inputs across distributed teams and ensure timely, high-quality submissions
Draft and edit technical narratives, budgets, and supplementary documents
Strategic Communications & Materials
Develop investor, partner, and funder-facing slides aligned with Exobiosphere’s brand and milestones
Maintain a centralized, modular slide library and support ad hoc deck creation
Assist with external communications (one-pagers, BD briefs, project updates)
Internal BD Execution & Follow-Up
Support active BD pipelines by tracking deadlines, follow-ups, and stakeholder engagement
Draft follow-up emails and meeting summaries; maintain records of partner and agency interactions
Conduct background research on emerging opportunities and strategic initiatives
Cross-functional Coordination
Bridge gaps between BD, science, engineering, and project teams to align deliverables and timelines
Contribute to process improvements and internal tools that support global execution
Support special projects, including conferences, investor relations, and milestone reporting
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s in business, public policy, science/engineering, or related fields
5+ years of experience in proposal coordination, grant writing, science operations, or BD support
Demonstrated experience with public-sector funding (e.g., SBIR, H2020, Horizon Europe, ESA, NIH)
Excellent written communication and slide development skills (PowerPoint, Google Slides)
Familiarity with Notion, Asana, Airtable or similar collaboration/project management tools
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, especially across time zones and deliverables
Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating with distributed, remote teams
