Quality Assurance Engineer (Cleanroom & Workshop)

Location: House of BioHealth, Luxembourg

Type: Full-time

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer (Cleanroom & Workshop) to support and structure our day-to-day hardware activities: maintaining cleanroom and workshop readiness, coordinating AIT flows, ensuring strong configuration control, and driving practical QA/PA across build, test, and integration.

Responsibilities

Cleanroom & workshop organization

  • Maintain cleanroom and workshop organization, readiness, and discipline (layout, tooling, consumables, labeling, access rules, housekeeping routines).

  • Define and enforce cleanliness and contamination-control practices appropriate for payload hardware and life-science interfaces.

  • Ensure equipment is calibrated/maintained as needed; coordinate external servicing where required.

  • Participate in AIT efforts when required.

Inventory & traceability

  • Manage inventory of parts, consumables, and tools (incoming checks, storage conditions, stock levels, reorder points).

  • Maintain traceability for hardware items (serials/lot numbers, certificates, EEE parts documentation where relevant).

QA/PA (Quality Assurance / Product Assurance)

  • Implement pragmatic QA/PA processes: inspections, hold points, checklists, and acceptance criteria.

  • Drive nonconformance handling (NCRs), root-cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and lessons learned.

  • Support configuration management: document control, revision tracking, and as-built records.

  • Contribute to reliability and safety practices (risk awareness, workmanship standards, handling/ESD practices).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in QA/PA or AIT operations.

  • Proven experience in QA/QC, product assurance, manufacturing quality, or AIT operations (space, medical devices, pharma/biotech, aerospace, precision hardware, or similar).

  • Hands-on familiarity with cleanroom or controlled-environment work and good workshop practices.

  • Comfortable writing and maintaining clear documentation (procedures, checklists, inspection reports, logs).

  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., ECSS, IPC workmanship, ISO 9001/13485 concepts, contamination control).

  • Experience with ESD control, calibration management, incoming inspection, and supplier quality follow-up.

  • Experience supporting AIT flows for payloads or complex electromechanical systems (test readiness, run sheets, acceptance testing).

  • Experience with tooling management and workshop safety practices.
