Space Software Engineer – Embedded Systems (Mid-Level)

Join us on a mission beyond Earth. We're looking for a mid-level Software Engineer to help develop and maintain cutting-edge embedded systems for high-reliability applications. If you're fluent in embedded systems programming and C++, thrive in a multidisciplinary environment, and have a passion for building robust, test-driven software, you might be the perfect fit.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software for embedded platforms, with a focus on real-time performance and robust architecture

  • Implement and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability

  • Collaborate across disciplines—software, hardware, systems—to define interfaces and deliver cohesive solutions

  • Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and compliance with aerospace-grade development processes

  • Work on systems deployed in mission-critical environments, with a strong emphasis on safety, fault tolerance, and long-term maintainability

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of professional experience in software development

  • Strong proficiency in C++ (modern standards) and Python

  • Solid experience in embedded systems programming

  • Strong understanding of unit testing, test frameworks, and continuous integration

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with space systems or aerospace software development

  • Familiarity with RTEMS, NASA’s core Flight System (cFS), or F´ (F prime) framework

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman)

  • Understanding of real-time operating systems, hardware-software integration, and flight software constraints

  • Exposure to space qualification processes and safety standards
